Gypsy Cab

We had heard that the Gypsy Cab was a great place to eat while we were visiting. Although this place is great you do need a car to get there it is over the bridge by the Light House, so you can not walk there as you can almost everywhere else. When we sat down we were excited to see that the menu was dated when we asked the waitress about it she informed us that the menu changes daily. This truly excites me seeing as how everything that we ate was amazing. One thing that is always there is the whipped butter that literally tasted like flavored air so good. We started off our meal with a crusted cheese.
We followed that up with salads and 3 fantastics meals. Also when you are picking the sides here choose the mashed potatoes. The first is my plate with the shrimp dinner, next is the seafood medley, then shrimp and beef pasta.

Fountain Of Youth

You can not visit our oldest city with out going to the source of it's youth. The Fountain of Youth. The Fountain of youth was not what I expected in the fact that it is a natural spring I really don't know why I expected it to be an actual fountain but I did. also the site of the Fountain of Youth is more of a park with a lot of historical information. Again the views were beautiful although being from Florida I felt more like I had already made it to the Carolinas than still being in Florida.

Best Cupcakes in St.Augustine

Looking for a place to treat your sweet tooth, look no futher. We luckily stumbled upon this little bakery on our walk back to the Fountain of Youth. There were many choices but I decided to go with the cupcake topped with bacon, because everything is better with bacon. The other teachers on the trip also enjoyed their cupcakes, they were probably my favorite from the whole trip.

Castillo De San Marcos

To start our summer off we went on a little road trip our first stop St.Augustine, Fl where we were able to eat great food and explore historical sites. We started off exploring the Castillo De San Marcos, it cost $7.00 to get in and the ticket last for a full week so you can go back and revisit the site as much as you want. There was a lot of history and the views were amazing. Warning although it would not stop me from making the visit, they are renovating the Fort so there are areas where they are working, I can not wait to go back when they have completed the restorations.
